What is Aghor?
тАЬAghor is that which is not terrible. It is pure, sacred, beyond duality.тАЭ
The word Aghor (рдЕрдШреЛрд░) means non-terrifying, non-dual, without fear. It refers to a state of consciousness where there is no judgment, no impurity, no separation. On the Aghori path, one sees divinity in all things тАФ even in what society rejects or fears.
The Aghori path is not for the faint of heart тАФ it demands fearlessness, surrender, and deep inner transformation. But for the sincere seeker, it opens the door to direct experience of the Absolute (Brahman).
Fearlessness and Ego Dissolution
An Aghori moves beyond the ego тАФ the false sense of “I” тАФ and enters a state where everything is Shiva, and nothing is unholy.

- Fear of death, fear of loss, fear of the unknown тАФ all are burned in the fire of sadhana (spiritual practice).
- Cremation grounds are not symbols of death, but temples of awakening, where illusions are dissolved and truth is revealed.
